Dear Bargaining Unit Employees,
We want to ensure that you have accurate information and the necessary resources regarding the recent Voluntary Early Retirement Authority (VERA) announcement from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
HHS has received authorization to offer VERA to eligible employees for a limited 10-day window, from today until Friday, March 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST. This program is part of workforce restructuring efforts under the recent Executive Order and OPM/OMB guidance.
What You Should Do
- If you are considering early retirement under VERA, we strongly encourage you to reach out to your local HR Benefits Office as soon as possible to get full details on eligibility, implications, and next steps.
